At some point in the past, I used the Windows store, and logged into it with a Microsoft account. I no longer want to use the Microsoft account. I now want to use the Windows store, and download free apps, such as Netflix. After searching for Netflix and clicking "get"I get prompted to login with a Microsoft account. I click the X button to dismiss is. Unfortunately, after that, nothing happens. The app does not download, nor does it install. I believe Windows 10 is somehow remembering that I used a Microsoft account at some point in the past, and wants me to use it again.

I do not want to. There is probably something in the registry with trace of the Microsoft account. What's the trick to get rid of all remnants of previous Microsoft account use? I still can't even install themes from the Microsoft stores without being asked to login.

So, it is definitely something that's possible with this version of Windows. I just don't want to do a fresh install of Windows just to be able to not use the MS account with the Microsoft store.

I don't need you to tell me it's impossible. I already know it's possible. What I need is help doing the same on my bare metal install, where I previously logged on to a Microsoft how to download apps from windows store without an account free.

You can see the full video of me doing that in a Virtualbox VM here. The link below is just to the last. Even after installing all the latest OS updates through Windows updates inside of that VM, including all optional updates, the MS store still functions perfectly fine without a Microsoft account. All I'm asking is for the procedure to do the same thing, on the same release of Windows, Win10 21H2, without having to do a full install of Windows from scratch as I did in this video.

This is something that I'm sure is a possibility, but obviously some keys have to be cleaned in the registry - to eliminate previous remnants of the Microsoft account - keys that aren't fully cleaned up by running WSRESET. EXE, but should be. In other words, a bug.
